Our summer interns are truly the heartbeat of the team. A successful evening at the ballpark, could not happen without their dedication and hard work. We are constantly looking for those individuals who will make the Spearfish Sasquatch successful. We offer opportunities for a student to receive credit towards their degree. Those opportunities include Game Day Operations, Marketing, Event Planning, Ticketing, Merchandise, Concessions, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Broadcasting, Social Media and more! These individuals will spend the majority of their time in their selected field, but will also cross over into other areas to give them a well rounded experience. Please be sure to encourage and thank these young men and women as they make your game day a pleasant experience. Past Spearfish Sasquatch interns are now working in MLB, MiLB, NFL & NBA!

Born and raised around the Spearfish area. Samson grew up watching baseball from afar and started swinging his first log at bee hives for batting practice at the tender age of 3. His favorite baseball teams are the Minnesota Twins and the Colorado Rockies. His favorite athletes include Charlie Blackmon, James Harden, and Justin Turner.
Eric Schmidt, a native of Schaller, Iowa, has called Spearfish home since attending Black Hills State University where he earned a B.A. in Business Administration & Management in 2005. Before coming to the Sasquatch in 2018, Schmidt spent the previous 15 years at the Spearfish Holiday Inn & Lucky’s 13 Pub as the Director of Marketing & Human Resources. Eric has always had a passion for baseball and business, and the prospect of merging the two was truly a dream come true. In his spare time, you can find Eric golfing, attending concerts, traveling, or rooting for his beloved Chicago Cubs, in addition to spending time with his family. Eric married his wife, Heather, in 2016 and have three daughters, Charlotte (5), Lucy (3), & Sophie (1).
